Joe van Rooyen is a multiple-award-winning architect with nearly 30 years of experience practicing in Johannesburg, Cape Town and their surrounds. He studied architecture at the University of Pretoria and completed postgraduate studies at the New York Institute of Classical Architecture & Art. He began his career at Slee+Co and established jvr architects and interiors in 2005. Joe is passionate about the relationship between heritage and contemporary architecture, and the potential they have to enhance each other.
